ABOUT

Cowra Retirement Village is a community owned, not for profit organisation.  Known locally as "Bilyara", we have been in operation since 1988. Bilyara is a Wiradjuri Aboriginal word meaning Eaglehawk, chosen because of the Eagle being the emblem for the Shire of Cowra. We are located 2.5km from the Cowra CBD and command majestic views over the town and district. We sit adjacent to the Japanese Gardens and overlook the Lachlan River and Valley. We are the largest Residential Aged Care provider in our catchment area, caring for approximately 170 residents.  Within the village itself we offer residential aged care including dementia care and independent living units. For those who want to stay in their own homes, we also deliver services for community home care package recipients.
